IPAF MEWPS for Managers

Course Objective:
To instruct managers in what is required to prepare for and safely co-ordinate various types of MEWPS within their control.

- BS 8460:2005 safe use of MEWPS – code of practice
- Practical view of machine

Key learning Objectives:
Be aware and confident to
- Select the correct MEWP for work being undertaken
- Select the correct fall protection equipment
- Use the correct emergency procedures, capacities and limitations to enable safe operation of MEWPs
- Understand the regulations relevant to MEWP usage
- Carry out pre-use checks, daily maintenance and understand its importance prior to commencing work.

Course Method:
Instruction in both theory and practical sessions. A written and practical test will be required to be completed.

Personal Protective Equipment Required:
- Hard hat
- Steel capped work boots
- Harness

Certification:
IPAF PAL card and PEWPS for managers
